Q&A #2 “What about who is note there?”

Q: There is quite a few Bay City residents from the finale that are not there, is there a reason behind that?

A: There are a few. For one I cannot write a webnovel with 40+ characters. The second reason was for story reason. We can always have a character visit or return. There are tons of characters that are not there. The most notable absence is Lila Roberts Winthrop. Remember that the story takes place nine years after the finale. Was their marriage a success? Did she die during the hurricane? Did she run off with a Shane Roberts look-a-like? During Volume 1 you will learn the fate of some characters and keep mum on certain others.

 

Q: Where is Joe Carlino?

A: That was a hard one for me cause I love Joe and Paulina. They were a great couple . My first idea was having him die a hero during the hurricane saga. My second idea was that they divorced after the loss of her daughter Remy. For the moment, he his currently in Washington being trained to join the FBI. The how and why will be explained later one and Paulina’s feelings about it also. So he is not dead… yet ! 

 

Q: Are you planning on bringing back classic characters like Lorna, Jenna and maybe even Dean? 

A: I would love to write for Alicia Coppola’s Lorna, especially that on YouTube her character just appeared. So I am leaving the door opened for that. As for Jenna and Dean, I have no plans to bring them over. 

 

Q: Is anyone from the other soaps you brought over have any connections to residents of Bay City?

A: As I read the question I had a few ideas for that. But before that, there was no plans on creating something. But since Skye will be looking to find out who her mother and father is, that could be a great opportunity for that. 

 

Q: Are we going to have a chapter, or several chapters on what happened during the hurricane?

A: During the course of Volume 1 you will have several little flashbacks. However I am planning to dedicate a four chapter arc on one particular story during that time. Who it involves is not decided. We might decide to create a separate limited run series about it also. But since I don't currently know the fate of everyone concerned as of yet, it is hard for me to give details about it.

 

Q: You have created two new characters, why not use existing ones? 

A: I thought it would be fun as a writer to create two characters with back stories that I create. They are in fact my babies and cannot wait to discover their past and create their future.
